Hello and welcome!
Thank you for stopping by. My name is Karen Randazzo and I am a chemistry teacher from New Jersey. I have over 17 years experience teaching high school chemistry.
I would describe my teaching style as primarily student-centered. By implementing elements of the flipped classroom and unit menus, I encourage my students to take ownership over their learning. On any given day, my students have choices for both learning modality and assessment. It is a wonderful way to learn, and it has really transformed my classroom culture and the relationships I build with my students.
Chemistry teacher by day, teacher author by night, I am dedicated to making teachers' lives more manageable by offering professional development, sharing my engaging lessons, and by collaborating with educators on various social media platforms. I also share my journey navigating the Next Generation Science Standards and student-centered learning on my YouTube Channel.
The driving force behind why I started selling my resources was to help those teachers who struggle to perform the necessities of life like eating and sleeping during their first years of teaching. I think all teachers want to plan professional-looking and engaging lessons, but we have a lot on our plates. That's what I love so much about my resources. I take the guesswork out of teaching difficult content by providing quality lessons and labs that actually work and help students understand the content in the most engaging way possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me, and I hope to see a few comments from you on my blog posts from time to time. Also feel free to collaborate with me by using the social media icons above.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your students!
